Meet

2012

I haven't set myself too many reading challenges this year but the ones that I have chosen all give me the chance to explore unknown African literature.

Iconic African Authors Reading Challenge (January 1 - December 31 2012): A personal challenge I set for myself owing to my appalling track record of classic African literature. I will aim to read 1 classic a month.

Read
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe (Nigeria)
The Joys of Motherhood by Buchi Emecheta (Nigeria)
No Longer At Ease by Chinua Achebe (Nigeria)

Africa Reading Challenge (January 1 - December 31 2012): Sponsored by Kinna of Kinna Reads, this challenge involves reading 5 African books. I've chosen to focus on North African literature.

Read
The Yacoubian Building by Alaa al-Aswany (Egypt, Fiction, Contemporary)
Anatomy of a Disappearance by Hisham Matar (Libya, Fiction, Contemporary)

2012 Middle East Book Challenge (January 1 - December 31 2012): Sponsored by Helen of Helen's Book Blog, this challenge involves reading a book from the Middle East. For this challenge I have also chosen to focus on North African literature.
